  • The problem Jacobs has is his lack of major races. The only 2 major races he had, Monaco and Tokyo, he did beat a lot of top people (De Grasse, Bromell, Kerley) but aside from that, he has a losing record to Simbine (1-4), Baker (1-3) and never raced any of the top guys anywhere else. I'm not sure I can put Jacobs ahead of Simbine or Baker honestly, let alone De Grasse and Kerley.

But he got the one that counts
      And has a faster time

True dat. Makes for a conundrum.

        • Bolt spent years training as a long sprinter before his 100m days, we are seeing the same thing here with Kerley, he like Bolt has that superior speed endurance.

          Kerley number one.

Takes more than just an Olympic gold as we have seen in the past.

          • For me Jacobs #1
            Olympic gold
            9.80 and 9.84
Only Brommel has a faster time

            • First for Hodgkinson - should be 4 Brits in Eugene

              • Kate Grace has been a great story this year. Nothing salves missing the team, but she sure soldiered on nobly.

                • Kate Grace takes 2nd in 800 behind Hodgkinson!
Grace has had the best non-Olympian season--at least for the Americans!

or does Mu's single DL race in AR time. trump her?

He's got the speed and technique, that's for sure.
He looks good even when he misses. Love to see him get a better oPR than his 5.85.

I said "NON-Olympian", so you probably misunderstood!
                          Mu won the Olympics!
                          Grace wasn't there!

'non-Olympian' can also mean 'outside of the Olympics'.

                            • Too bad SM and DM weren't here to vie with Ms. Bol.

We can't fault Jacobs for quitting on top; many others like SM did too.

                              • Is there a case for Bol to rank #2 in the world ahead of Muhammad in the 400mH (#1 ahead of Sydney?)

                                Or Olympics keeps them safe?
