I am a coach, but I'd sure not contradict her coach. I have heard many times that if you rush the drive phase, you won't get to full speed in a sustainable way. Those last 20m betray many sprinters who hit top speed too early.

Brommel needs to work out how to run consistently outside of the USA. The good news for him is that the champs are in Eugene.

Her drive phase is overly long in my opinion and I'm no coach. I mean she is in superb form and her coach is clearly doing something right, but if she comes up a little earlier she'd be able to get that flo jo record. Next year in Eugene if she is in this kind of form.

E should be 1 and De Grasse should be 2. Jacob’s didn’t run enough , and then suddenly disappeared 👀

I'll make an outlandish statement here. No one will beat Fred Kerley next year if he pushes on in this kind of form. Not even a Coleman with that sensational start.

So does Kerley now have the WR for bow-legged sprinters?

That's on you. To most of us, it is a breath of fresh air.

She'd gladly trade this win for that Gold.

Devon made a very good decision to move east to train with his college coach.

I feel like people often make a mistake by changing coaches when they go pro. Sometimes it works (Sydney McLaughlin). Sometimes it's catastrophic (Jeremy Wariner).

Honestly I don't think Allen has the size or speed to win a major. Always a finalist, always gets a good finish but he needs to catch guys on off days. I still pull for him because he was a football player.
