Jaylen Slade turned Pro in July, so isn't eligible for HS track in 2022!

If she did, she improved about 10 secs in the 400m over the rest of her season.

Interesting. Milesplit has no such time. I guessing these lists are 'preliminary', awaiting final vetting. HS lists always have some weird entries, usually form Imperial to Metric conversion.

I could find no other references to that time, either. Would imagine that someone so young (12 yo?) running that time would get some attention somewhere....especially since I believe she is also Bershawn Jackson's younger daughter.

It was either the results for the Mark Trail meet in GA originally being incorrect or Milesplit having incorrectly parsed them, I don't recall. The mixup was related to Shawnti Jackson, who ran that time and had also run a prelim in that meet ... somehow only the prelim was credited to Shawnti at first and the 52.93 went to Shari (who really only ran 1:02). It was something like that, but in any case, they corrected the results and rankings and TFN should do the same.

Thanks, that makes sense. I figured a time that fast would have generated some buzz - I don't recall seeing that many * on a high school list before!

I have often thought that compiling an accurate HS list would be next-to-impossible, what with all the mismeasurements, misconversions, misrereportings, not to mention the universal lack of proper timing / wind reporting.
I keep a local one and am aghast at how often totally bogus marks are reported. It sorts itself out after the State Meet . . . usually.
Florida had a bunch of gLJ 20-footers last year, for a while.
