I’ve been trying to see if he was related to Brad Sumner, who btw formerly held the high school 600m record! How
many fathers and sons have held the same record?

        Missed this one on Saturday.

Already the boys WT leader at 81-1 from Woonsocket HS in Rhode Island, Tarik Robison-O'Hagan threw the Shot 69-0.25.

He's the national returning HTer at 236-9, but considering his SP PR from last winter was 60-6 (and WT 76-5). I reckon we can expect some loooong Hammer throws this spring!
The HSR of 261-7 might be in jeopardy.

Wasn’t Greg Duplantis the first HS indoor 18’ vaulter?

            His outdoor best was 17-11.75a.
            His indoor best was 17-0.

The first and only indoor 18's were in 2018 by Bradford and Guttormsen' (not counting that Swedish kid, whatzizname).

Why not count the Swedish kid, if you are going to count the Norwegian kid

Now the Millrose winner, but not by a lot.

Great battle! Not too many competitions in prep history, I'd guess, with two 80-footers.

Crater OR jr Tyrone Gorze 14:12.32 5000m today in open/college race at U-W. #3 all-time, all-conditions (or all-tracks, if you will), trailing only the last 2 HSRs set by Verzbicas, then Cheserek.

Jenna Mulhern (West Chester Henderson HS, PA '22) ran 16:17.47 at the Camel City meet, 2nd behind NC State's Gionna Quarzo. #8 a-t HS
She's a Furman recruit who as 4th at Running Lane XC, 3rd at Eastbay. I don't think she's running for her school this year.
