  • 2022 Millrose Games

My favorite iMeet (been many times), at the Armory now, is Jan 29 and the fields are starting to shape up!

    w60H Keni Harrison
    wMile Elle Purrier St. Pierre
    mSP Ryan Crouser, Joe Kovacs
m60 Christian Coleman, Trayvon Bromell, Omar McLeod
w800 Athing Mu, Ajee' Wilson, Natoya Goule-Toppin
    wPV Katie Nageotte, Sandi Morris
m3000 Cole Hocker, Edward Cheserek, and Conner Mantz

I'm calling it now, lots of WLs (altho good meets in Paris, Manchester, Stockholm, and Karlsruhe - among others - precede it).

The only thing surprising to me is that Coleman is eligible already.

I know the rules for WR's have been a bit liberalized with regards to indoor performances ( lj, pv ) but how about Shot, with an indoor shot ?

I just hope the indoor season isn't disrupted leading to the world championships in March. Other sports like swimming are having one canceled meet after another. The upcoming Arena Pro Series meet in the United States was canceled and now the next big European swim meet late January in Luxembourg has also been canceled.

Will the Millrose Games be televised on regular TV?

At this point it seems to be a no.

So far I only see Flotrack in USA, but there will be foreign streams that can be VPNed.

World Athletics should be streaming all the Gold indoor meetings again on their YouTube channel (geo-blocked wherever it's being shown on TV or another streaming service).

Re TV in the US ... aren't Millrose and the NBIGP usually on NBC Sports?

At least NBCSC . . . but I just read that channel went away on Jan 1, replaced by CNBC and USA Network. I know Peacock will still cover many meets too (and Olympic Channel).

i subscribe to Runnerspace because that is hand in glove with USATF.TV, which, as the name implies, covers a lot of good meets too. FloTrack is too many beans for me.

I think NL's 2021 was a bump in the road and he will be a short sprint force again. Baker certainly is . . . and Bracy and Bromell and Kerley and Laird and the two main men: Coleman and Holloway (if he deigns to run the 60).
That's 8 USA men who could be STARS this year. Jacobs and deGrasse need to get in on the fun too.

I am from The Old School. A Millrose Games not at Madison Square Garden is not the Millrose Games. And I do not mean that place down on 33rd St. above the train station, I mean the REAL Madison Square Garden up at 50th Street. The memories...
