It's not in Japan, or are you saying Eugene22 would postpose because the Japanese can't come?

He's saying the if would have to be based on Japanese travel restrictions which I assume it won't.

That the USA would adopt Japanese travel restrictions?! I certainly don't see that happening, if for no other reason than political.

That's because it can be understood in several different ways.

My take on what GH said was "if the US Government introduces similar travel restrictions as Japan, and enforces them for WC athletes as well".

Personally, can't see that happening given how the US has allowed sport to function already.

I said that too and NotDutra said that's not "what gh was saying at all."

I think what he's saying is that was only if the US introduced similar travel restrictions which the US was unlikely to do. IOW we are a ways away from that.

How is that different from what I already said?

2 months away and the USA still under-(wo)manned. Current Qualed and [ranked]:

                          mHJ - JuV [McEwen 9th, Sullivan 20th]
mLJ (!) - Dendy and Boling [McCarter 16th]
                          mDT (!) - B Williams [Mattis 19th]
                          mHT - Winkler [Haugh 14th, Young 18th]

                          wHJ - VC [McCoy 16th]
                          wTJ - Orji and Moore
                          wJT - Malone [Winger 19th]

Boling seems to be shying away from the LJ at the moment and his OD best so far is under 7.50. I would have thought the LJ would be his better event for a spot. Not sure the 100/200 will cut it for him with so many US greats.

Sounds like Boling isn't entered in the LJ, which is a pity, but overall, I think the US team will have at least three entrants in almost all the events. Of course, rankings may change between now and the deadline, and hopefully, some additional athletes will make standard/rankings at USATF.

On the men's side, I only see the javelin being short. And the two walks.

On the women's side, I think the US has a full squad. Even the TJ and jav, which have usually been the outliers. Looks like the 20K walk has just one, but the 35K walk has the full complement.

                                Am I missing anything?
