The qualifying period finishes in 6 days on June 26th. Most National Championships will be staged on that weekend, so it's a last chance for many athletes to qualify. The current qualifiers are on the World Athletics website as usual:

One notable non-qualifier in the w100m as it stands is Dafne Schippers. The 100m, in which she is entered at the NC's this weekend, will be held on the Friday evening. At present the weather forecast is very poor, with 50% chance of rain and storms, so looking at her form this year, 11.15 will be extremely difficult. She has the Q for the 200m.

Are there any other big names that haven't got the Q in other events?

As per duplicate thread, Dafne Schippers is currently not qualified for the w100m. She's entered in the 100 at the Dutch nationals this weekend, but the weather is due to be stormy, so it's unlikely she will get the QT. She has the 200m from last season, but hasn't run any 200's since Tokyo.

Somewhat related. It would be nice if World Athletics did an update on the "Road to Oregon" list more often than roughly once a week it appears to happen so far. They update auto Q's faster than that, but all the rest based on World Rankings appear to be once a week (Thursdays maybe??).

It's pretty late in the day in Europe, and as far as I can tell there is no update for this week.

Just noticed that there are very few morning/early afternoon sessions outside of the weekends. Most end up late afternoon, evening in the East Coast (sucks for European viewers) but great for me since I won't miss much of anything while at work during the day. so, using the mLJ as an example, the finishing order at USATF was thus:

1. Grey - between 34 and 35, but several Americans ahead of him that placed lower
2. McCarter - 18th - in
3. J Davis - between 35 and 36, but several Americans ahead of him that placed lower
4. W Williams - between 28 and 29 - in
...
10. Dendy - 7th - in?

If USATF declares only Grey, McCarter, Davis, clearing out the other, higher, Americans, leaving them in top 32, does that mean they are in? I hope that's how it is, but I fear not.

My reading of the team manual (page 39) says
the declined quota places—Member Federations must inform World Athletics of their intention to decline a quota place by the closing date of the qualification period (29 May 2022 for Marathon and 35km Race Walk and 26 June 2022 for the all the other events). Such notification must be sent to events@ worldathletics.org by the Member Federation concerned by no later than midnight Monaco time. Quota places declined after the above deadline will NOT be reallocated.

That is not the official spot, but I still think it is the official document.

Which, if the selection process is the same as last year, is why McPherson did not get selected last year... as she was outside the top-32 on the final listing, even though she had a higher order of finish relative to Butts-Townsend (who was in the top-32 final listing).

Yes. Also I think atticus is missing the fact that the "Road to Oregon" list already accounts for the 3 per country limit.

I did not miss that. It's obvious when they don't give a rank order number to any American past the third, as noted in the "between 34 and 35" for Grey.
I would have hoped USATF could foresee the deadline problem and decline spots that would not be in play. I do admit, however, even that is problematic, because they don't know what other countries are doing in that regard and we don't want a decline a spot we may need the next day. There should be a small window AFTER the initial deadline, where countries may change their minds after they see where the dust settles (not that some nation may try to game that).

The current protocol is still a hot mess and needs further 'simplification'.
