    The only thing worse than a tie to is watch jumpesr or vaulers "winning" the event by clearing a height two or more participants have already gone over.....

      Maybe make it more interesting and allow those competitors back in to the jump off if the bar lowers to the height they went out.

        I was describing a scenario with a vacant title. Nobody has the title, two boxers fight for it, end up in a draw. Should they both get a title belt, or neither?

        And when there is a title holder, they can only lose their title to an opponent in a title fight. Not every fight by the title holder is a title fight. Zurich et al aren't Olympic or World title meets.

          Asked and answered. Neither gets the title. Different sport altogether.
