You've just argued against your own position.

No I didn't, there have been a lot of multi event sprinters, but none were also long jumpers. And have never seen a 400/long jumper only on the world stage.

Closest I recall is Anthuan Maybank: twice world-ranked in the 400 (44.15 PB), and jumped over 27 feet.

I think Matthew may be a bit bulky for the 400. I see him in the shorter sprints/jump. Sure the deuce is a crowded field, but I think his times will be better there (and maybe the 100), and will allow him to continue jumping.

I am just grateful that no one mentioned his potential as a tight end..........

I just had an amazing idea of what he might do after he graduates: Utilize his college degree and education,, and GET A REAL JOB. Isn't that why we go to college ?!

We all know about Maybank, but what did he do in both events on the world stage which is what is being talked about, Boling after Georgia.

He never won the NCAA in either.

So him still long jumping at the world class level?

Way too small to play TE, maybe a WR, hmmmm?

Tell that to all those NFLers and NBAers.

What did he really do in the 400/long jump? He was never a 400 man, a long jumper. He dabbled in those events.

My crystal ball is too fuzzy to predict his longest jump. Maybe not 29', but high-27/low-28. Does that qualify?
