  • Penn and Drake broadcasts?

Perhaps Covid caused me to miss the memo, but: Am I correct that Penn and Drake will no longer be on NBC and have moved exclusively to FloTrack and RunnerSpace?

I know Drake is on CBS Sports Network. My DVR already has it programmed.

2-4pm on April 30th for Drake on CBSSN

Penn is exclusively on FloTrack. No TV or other streams at all.

Don't have the details yet, but I'm told that Penn will be shown on one of the ESPN stations(in addition to the FloTrack coverage)

I hope that is the case.

I hope so too, because our sport would not be well served by putting major events exclusively on platforms that are only used by the hardcore fans. I'm glad FloTrack and RunnerSpace make lower-profile meets available, but events as big as Drake and Penn need to be easily accessible to a wider audience.

As of now, there is no broadcast of Penn Relays scheduled on any of the ESPN cable/satellite platforms according to their guide for Thursday through Sunday. Hopefully, something will change! Fear not, however, The American Cornhole League and USA Climbing competition will be shown multiple times over those 4 days.

The sad thing is that both of those probably get better ratings than track and field.

Watching Cornhole is the ultimate 'paint-drying' experience . . . Climbing is fun cuz they can fall and not get hurt (on belay!).
