The American men's 200 WC team will have four guys running 19.6 or better 😉

I hope Knighton bucks the trend of Florida High School products derailing/postponing their development in their prime years.
Behind Dix was Xavier Carter at 19.63.
Lyles was born in Gainesville and lived here until he was 8 years old I think , but moved to VA.

Pretty sure it’s the fastest ever this time of the season by anyone. Full stop. Lyles who?

Yup. He reminds me of Bolt. A LOT. If anyone is capable of doing it then he is, barring injury

Someone on twitter said he's now coached by Mike Holloway. Is that true?

Despite Dix's injuries, and "short" career, he was pretty damn successful. Between 2005 and 2011:

Pleathora of NCAA titles + 19.69 as a Junior
                    Double Bronze at first Olympics
Double Silver at first World Champs
2nd fastest American time for almost a decade

He was also running in the Bolt era, meaning there was essentially no opportunity for gold

Wow! Lyles chances for a Gold Oly medal just got a lot smaller.

It just looked very easy for him. When he got way out in front he appeared to be slowing down.

The video is very interesting. EK took off at 50m and left Fahnbulleh. Off the turn, Fahn made no dent. In the last 30m, EK appeared to be cruising and Fahnbulleh's huge stride began to make a dent, but way too little, way too late. I can't wait to see N Lyles at full speed against EK. I think NL has the better finish, but as in this race, EK might be . . . gone.

Not yet. It may be strange to say, but as amazing as this performance was, he does still need to make a tough US team, while Lyles does not.

Wow! In spite of his massive potential, I've been wait-and-see until now, but I'm officially converted. Most likely to succeed Bolt.
