I can't say I was surprised but like most Canadians I was thrilled when ben won. I was home alone and watched the race while on the phone with my sister. I was so bloody nervous before the race-probably the most nervous I have ever been when watching a big race.
Jumped around and screamed like everyone in the country.
Can't remember when I first heard the bad news. I wasn't devastated except for my beloved sport in general.
That ad is appalling. I spend hours every week with young athletes and I see the cynicism and the defeatist attitudes they have (you can't make it in the sprints without cheating etc.). It doesn't stop them from enjoying the sport or anything but it definately limits their long term view on their chances of success (to them that means representing Canada internationally)

Ben was a cheater and that is considered funny?
I do know that if he turned up a trackmeet here the kids would mob him-even more so than Felicien or Bailey.

A little context is also useful. From another site:

"d'angelo is a woodbridge company-johnson has always received love from the italian community of woodbridge all his main contacts he has are from there. he has had a relationship with d'angelo and its subsidiaries for years

ben is as woodbridge as foozball"
