The quick turnaround to the WC definitely benefits Steiner. Had it been the normal late August timeframe I think she would have struggled to maintain the form she has now. As it is I like her chances to actually improve(weather permitting). I wouldnt mind seeing her run an open 400 in a couple weeks.

I think she's a solid bet for a 200 medal, with outside shot at gold. And of course 4x4.

Chances she can challenge Jackson for Gold?

Would we consider her likely to finish ahead of ETH & SAFP.

She’ll be fresh compared to the others doubling back. But also has a long season in her legs. Can she maintain or even improve on her form in 3 weeks?

I thinks SCR is extemely talented. I think she just needs to continue to train and try to peak in August again and close out the season in September.

Now Sha'Carri Richardson is threatening to sue Athletics Weekly for reporting that she lost.

I wonder if Renaldo Nehemiah regrets agreeing to be her agent.

I don't want to see or hear any SCR talk until next season....if she's still interested in being a track athlete then.

Post race interview by Gabby was great. You can feel that she was so upset with the injury. Raw emotion right there.

Hope she recovers well and runs great at DLs.

I have no idea exactly what Sha'Carri Richardson meant in that video statement when she said she was speaking on behalf of all the other athletes who have problems with the media.

Which other athletes have problems with the media? Some may be introverts who aren't thrilled about talking to reporters. But that is because of being shy, not because they have anything against reporters.

It seems that what set Richardson off was that she saw some reporters reporting online that someone besides Richardson won the 100 and 200. What else were they supposed to report?

Informed track fans like the ones who post here know that Steiner is the real deal and that those Namibians have no business being on the track with her but can you imagine what the reaction would be from the wokesters if WA ruled them ineligible to run and Steiner won the world title?

Richardson obviously has issues. I have little trust in her to get proper guidance because she's one of the biggest media draws in the sport in this country and they appear to encourage her behavior.

Damned proud of Wildcat Abby! As for Richardson, I honestly have concerns for her on a personal basis. If she gets some proper guidance, off of the track, she may well be a great comeback story.

Those stats are incorrect. Pierre Jean has been unpicking them all weekend.

Just looked over the 10m splits for Steiner. She ran the last faster from 190-200 than she did from 170-180 or 180-190 and equal to 150-160 and 160-170. That's incredible speed endurance for someone running that fast.

Incredible series of performances from Steiner. Can she hold this form to mount a substantial challenge to Jackson?

Hope next year will be Thomas's year. Injuries are an unfortunate part of the sport.
