  • 2022 Stockholm DL

I've been so engaged in the USA Championships, I forgot that we are back into the DL this week.

It will be on Peacock and WA Youtube, at least.

Here's the sked (ET) and some hi-lites. If you are abbreviation-averse, note that complete line-ups are here:

Looking forward to see how jacobs runs. You would want to be in pretty good shape by now, or not far away.

This will be a good test for Hoppel. Hope he does well because I think he's the only medal hope for the US.

        Women's SP is loaded!
We'll see how Ealey, Mitton & Schilder hold up against Dongmo!
Good to see Sage Hurta mixing it up with the rest of the world!
        What will Femke Bol run?
I'm guessing better than 52.61, but slower than 51.41!
        LOL

                  TYhat's what I awas thionking.
I know the money is good (and needed), but now is not the time for Americans to be overseas. Now is the time to put your head down and meticulously prepare the final weeks before the Show.

I have the same complaint & question in every DNS situation like this---
If he was going to drop out, why even enter in the first place?
Did his agent or manager enter him without his knowledge?
If not, and if HE did the entering, then again, WHY??

Perhaps he was hedging his bets in the event that he did not qualify at Nationals.

Bol ran 52.37 here a year ago. I realize as you get faster your time curve decreases but she's cut off .39/.42/.72 in her 3 comparable races from last year's schedule.
I'm the best poster. Just ask me.

This was my first thought. I don't think it is unusual to see this. It's always easier to pull out of a race you have entered than the other way around.

My guess is this is the case. Hurta didn't make it so she's still going to run (at last look).

First sighting of Moula in a DL race, he finished like a train in Ostrava. I’ve no idea what sort of shape Korir is in over 800, but 44.87 over 400 at the weekend suggests he’s coming back into form
