That's another 72 points to the good, so he rises to 8356 projection, No. 2 on ATL.

I'm hoping for big things in the pole vault. I hope someone there can keep us updated!!

It seems to be the case that an increase in the throws correlates with a decrease in the 1500 points. unclezadok said that he would not be surprised if he took it easy in the 1500, but even pushing to the max might be a 4:5x and not an improvement to, say, 4:40.

For you Becca, I'll try They are warming up now with a nice tailwind of 15-20 mph.

I'm a little worried about the vault, for just this meet, because I think it can be a tough event for somebody coming off an injury--not so much the health issue as the timing. I remember a guy at the 92 OT having trouble in it after comng back from injury although he was fine in everything else. Eventually I think he (Hardee) will do 18 in the decathlon vault.

                Thanks!

I think I'm going to workout early, in an attempt to beat the next thunderstorm cell. Maybe he'll be jumping by the time I get back 8)

It isn't just the US that seems to have bad multi weather. Both of the 1st two WC decas had really heavy rains. OT '88 too. For awhile I was pretty sure that dog and/or god didn't like multis much :-(

Yeah I remember sitting in the rain watching the Helsinki decathlon and the OT in Indianapolis. And of course the weather in Helsinki this year was even worse!

Eaaaaassssy clearance at 4.80 (I think that's what they announced) for Hardee... wind still strong.

As they both started the deca at TR, (off topic though it is) why did Hardee have to sit out the year after transfer from Ms St, but Powell got to compete at LSU? Did Wazzu give a waiver? Garry?

BTW, there's a tight competition between Ryann Dupree and the Pickler sisters happening over on the women's side. At least there was until Dupree fell way behind in the javelin. Now Julie's up by 128, so it will take a heck of an 800 for Dupree.

All three of them are on my fantasy roster, thankyouverymuch.

Julie P is ahead of PR, Diana, quite a bit behind going into 800. How hot is it there? JP is 30+ points up on PR, Dupree up 15, DP down over 100, and has the worst 800 of the 3. Triesscheijn probably will reel in DP.
