As always, I'd love to meet any of you board regulars if you're coming to town for the Texas Relays. I'll be there Friday wearing an orange Texas Track & Field shirt (yes, I know that's not much help, but I'm about 6-1 and wear wire-rim, tinted glasses, and I always wear sandals, and you'd be surprised how few people have such shirts), and on Saturday I'm gonna wear the nifty Helsinki 2005 T-shirt that a T&FN staffer snagged for me. (Sorry, for obvious reasons I won't post my cell phone number online.)

Sorry, but I won't have any time for after-meet socializing – as much as I'd like to down a beer with y'all, my life is booked up from now until the day my youngest daughter goes off to college (about 16 years from now).

I second that! I'm stuck desk-bound in Dayton, Ohio and we are expecting a doozy of a rainstorm in the next 3 or so hours.

Trackstar, I scanned the stands but could not spot you. Friday was definitely shorts and sandals weather but it was pretty brisk out there this morning.
