Womens HJ scheduled to start just over an hour before the main program, Mahuchikh looked good the other night in her WR attempts, unfortunate timing.

SMU and Jeruto also seem to be out. So seven world champions not competing?

Are you sure? The w400 is the first DL running event that day and it is at 1pm ET - with the window closing at 4:00.
Watchathletics says 1pm. I'm betting at least the Youtube Channel is at 1, if not Peacock.

BAD, BAD, BAD News!!! They are running the 5000s Wednesday on that abomination of a "track". I thought that was a one-time thing; the athletes said it was not appropriate for a championship. It's just a two-hour TV window on Thursday, too, with 21 events crammed in. I hate this!
    no cheer,

Tsegay is in the 1500. With almost all the races being held the 2nd day, she can't run both the 15 and the 5. Same with Wightman, qualified in 8/15. I think I heard he wants to run the 800 in Zurich, but I'm not sure.

The reason only six in field events is that they are cramming almost everything into Thursday's meet. Only SPs, M HJ, W PV on Wednesday.
    Cheers,
    Alan Shank

Similar situation to the men's side the high jump loses the 2022 indoor silver medalist and Eugene gold medalist Eleanor Patterson. She is 7th on the points list and posted on Instagram today that she is waiting to see if a spot will open up for her. Eleanor wrote that she intended to compete in more Diamond League events prior to Eugene but injuries prevented it.

Regardless of what happens with Zurich she will finish her season in Bellinzona on the 12th.

At 9th in the 100, will SCR "sneak in" due to injuries, no shows, etc? How will Sha'carri do if she runs? What's the over/under on her finishing place?

To help cut down on the clutter somewhat with the full roster of events, will have separate threads for men and women.
