Either that, or people respond to the indoor schedule in the wrong thread (the mod doesn't like that, but I guess he could have migrated the errant posts once a thread started later).

Boston U announced their new INdoor track (Name??) schedule---6 or 7 meets?
First is Dec 3rd (??), which should have more speedy 5000's, as per recent years!
Next is Dec 17, called the "mini meet"....with more fast distance races??
The rest are in January & February!

I do think T&F Desperado is an excellent handle. How many years has it been since you took on Atticus? Time for a change?

We're depending on you to differentiate the mostly domestic meets from the ones that have int'l clashes of significance.

Apparently there was an indoor meet in Dortmund tonight featuring primarily German and Dutch athletes. I've seen some of them touting their results on Instagram. Cathelijn Peeters is the Dutch 400 runner who dropped the baton last summer in the 4 x 400 relay prelims, leading to disqualification when she didn't retreat to the drop point before resuming. It obviously affected her because she became all but absent on social media. She also was not used in the relay in Munich despite traveling there with the team.

I'm glad to see she is very happy tonight after posting a personal best by over a half second in the 200 at 24.46 and a career second best time in the 400 at 53.69. Nothing great, obviously, but it's probably further indication that she is improving at age 26 and will likely remain a factor in the relay pool. Peeters does not train with the 400 group under Meuwly. They are in South Africa for 2 more weeks.

The positive thing about that 400m was how soon it was after the 200m. The 200m was scheduled at 17:35 and the 400m at 18:45. She was in heat 7 of the 200m, and heat 1 of the 400m, so likely less than an hour between them .

However....until she, or Ooesterwegel, or Bouma, start running serious 52s, i wouldn't want to see two of them in the same 4x4 again. Laura DW is a different matter as often runs 2 secs faster than her flat SB in the relay, but none of the others have proven they are good relay runners. A 53 opening leg from Oosterwegel in Eugene was ridiculous

Jake Wightman dives at the line to clock 7:54.58 for 3000 at Sheffield, loses to Phil Sesemann's 7:54.34

Isabelle Boffey with a boffo 2:00.99 800 win
