Unfortunately Natalia Kaczmarek has withdrawn from the 400m at tomorrow's Copernicus Cup in Torun with an injury. She had been in good form so far, running a big PB over 200m recently (23.30 - previous best 23.89) and a really good 300m (36.25 - a time that would have won in Boston).

Laura is a bubbly type with other talents. She can hang on in track and field but let's face it she'll never be more than an alternate type for a relay prelim. I think she should get going on her career. She has education in nutrition and is also very good with media presentations as evidenced by the Zusjes De Witte videos. Maybe Meuwly could create some type of nutritionist/coordinator/public relations role for her while remaining involved with the team.
BTW, I saw Van Diepen announced he was injured and only has a small chance of being ready for Istanbul. What happened there? I remember he had one indoor race and got jostled around near the finish. But I don't remember him emphasizing an injury coming out of that race.

It should be noted as well though that Yarigo is turning 38 this year so I'm uncertain that she'll be able to make too much of an impact

Skrzyszowska had a great RT, way ahead of everyone else, but not a great start per se. She still came through for the win, just barely ahead of Hurske, as she did in Düsseldorf. It was only the second race ever with 4 women finishing in 7.85 or below. Anderson had possibly the best second half of all, but was too far behind to challenge for theByło smaszno, a jaszmije smukwijne...

Interesting that the "wrong" Hailu won the 3000 at Torun over all the other Ethiopians, and looked very good doing it. I can understand Frewenyi's frustration. She had an entire string of 2nd through 5ths last year without a victory. I don't blame her for continuing to probe toward her best distance and fit. I doubt she wants to do the 800/1500 double again like last year.
I was surprised Jenny Meadows said that Keely wouldn't be happy with that race. That's high standards indeed. I thought she looked very good. At the beginning you could see her eyes looking one lane outward at Moraa and then a quick burst in determination not to trail her.
I knew Ben Broeders had dumped his longtime Belgian coach late last year and switched to Duplantis' parents in the coaching role. But until today I didn't think Duplantis' parents would travel to meets with Broeders, especially if Mondo wasn't competing.
