Sub one hour pacing through the half. That wins most half marathons.

Next come the light strips, 42 km of them on the streets.

Help me understand how arm warmers don't inhibit the body's ability to cool itself.

Keira moved into 10th place at 35K, but she's now on 2:21+ pace!
First 4 on sub-2:17 pace, with Tigist Assefa now VERY close to Paula's former WR time of 2:15:25---at 35K!

It's Eliud vs the clock at 40K....or nearing 40K!

Good run - he looked comfortable for most of this friendly, flat course.

Now what's happening with the women? Hardly seen them. Schade...

Wonder if he will ever run another competitive unpaced world class marathon on a proper course in not perfect conditions again in his career. Somehow I doubt it.

Unless he wants to go for a triple in Paris at nearly 40. It would be 21 years after he won the Workd 5000m title there.

                      Why should he?

With his 59'51" in the first half part of the race he would have been the 199th performer ever...

With 2 Olympic golds he has pretty much nothing left to prove.

I am disinclined to make him my AOY because he skipped the WC to run in an exhibition. Still, a fabulous performer.

Is that what that was? Going through the half in 59:51? Tough crowd.

Is it an exhibition when you competition goes out at 5.80 and you attempt a WR? In that case, every PV WR attempt is an exhibition.
