Breakthrough- i really don't know what "breakthrough" means ? The dictionary says "sudden, dramatic, and important development." Kara' silver at WC and final meet win PB was definitely dramatic, but at her age I don't see it as "sudden"..... Anna Hall was the most entertaining "breakthrough" between her NCAA and WC efforts.

Good point very exciting 110 year, in fact after empty stadium Olympics, 2022 overall has been a great breakthrough year in general, two early WR's, amazing young athletes moving to the pros, a buncn of 20-22 year old multieventers with 7000/9000 potential, incredible SP year, plus 100/400 hurdle records. Oh yeah, marathon. That Mondo guy. What else could we wish for (other than a bigger crowd in Eugene : )
