    Quite a few actually.

SML and her potential in the 400
    Kipyegon and the 1500 WR
    Lyles vs Knighton
    Mu vs Hodgkinson vs Moraa
Amusan, where does she go after her brilliant 2022?
Will the Jamaican ladies do another 100 sweep?
What will Mboma's comeback be like?

And as a Greek of course, will Tentoglou achieve the "career slam" in Budapest? He's said that he prefers competing in Europe much more than Asia or America,

      Kipyegon in the 1500m obviously
Fisher in the 5 and 10. Hoping he gets a medal in Budapest
Always excited about the Marathons but this year I'm really hoping Jepchirchir enters Tokyo, London, Berlin, or Valencia. She's proved her tactical mastery, now I want to see just how fast she can really go
      Women's 100m. WR?
      Fred Kerley
Letesenbet Gidey. Will be interesting to see if she can finally win another 5000m race after her only victory in 6 or 7 years being the 2020 WR. Also if she can defend her world title
Can Sifan Hassan make a comeback?
Women's 400m, esp if Mu and SML enter

It's those around the 200m as it brings together 100 and 400 athletes. Steiner, Mboma, SMU, SML, Jackson, ETH, DAS, SAFP, Thomas - all these women.

That said, it's SCR that I want to see run a full season and make the team for Budapest. She has the gifts to challenge in the 100m and run 10.6.

I'd love to see Echevarria return to action. Any chance that happens in 2023?

Warholm vs Dos Santos vs Benjamin with all being fit.

                A fit Max Bergin

                Mu vs Hodgkinson vs Moraa

Both discuses are pretty exciting at the moment.

After playing truth-or-dare in sandbagging her 2 biggest races (with Wilson catching her sleeping in one and Hodgkinson catching her sleeping in the other), now's the time to turn up the heat...

...Which leads me to this question (although we may quite probably have to wait until Paris 2024): Does Ms. Mu try for 1:24.x (again) at 600 and this time hold form and finally catch Kratochvílová, or does Mrs. Levrone go 49.99 over the hurdles? Which will happen first?

I am also interested in whether Ryuji Miura and Nozomi Tanaka could return to their 2021 form and beyond.
                    ...
I'm also hoping that young "phenom" Seira Fuwa can do the same after a 2022 severely hampered by an achilles injury.

I certainly do not yet see the 10.6 gifted athlete you refer to..

To hold form in the last 200m she needs better endurance. But, alas, it appears she has decided to go down the speed route via Bobby Kersee. Maybe she can run faster than 1:24 at 600m with better speed, slowing down at the same rate, and run faster. Personally I am of the opinion that to improve her last 200m, which certainly appears to be her (slight) weakness, she needs to be better over distances longer then what Kersee has the expertise & knowledge to be able to coach.

Her 10.77 from 2021 into a -1.2 works out at 10.69 in still conditions so I think it's been there before. For her and the sport I hope it happens again.

Hmmm, she outsprinted both Ajee' Wilson and then Hogkinson in very close dead-out sprints. She just needs a little more (natural progression) strength to continue to be the best.

For me, it has to be the Jamaican super-trio of SAFP, ETH, and SJ. Curious to see if SAFP can hold up for yet another year, if ETH's injury woes can be put on pause long enough for her to re-peak, and if SJ can continue her 100/200 improvements such that she takes the 200 WR off the books by year-end.

Without the pressure of Worlds or OGs, I'm looking forward to seeing Ryan Crouser possibly unleash the first 77' throw. Sometimes big throws happen when one least expects it.

Similarly, I think some of the younger (under 25) multi-eventers may hit closer to 7000/9000 this year in more "relaxed" settings.
