According to them, she has run ZERO outdoor races, 100 or 200.
This a major strategic error. They are supposed to represent the world's elite.

Is anyone properly submitting said results, and getting those high school meets on the WA schedule?

That should be the state HS feds, certainly not the individual schools. And . . . if you know anything about the state feds, if ain't football, basketball or baseball . . . crickets . . . tumbleweeds . . .

Most states use TFRRS as their database. The REAL problem is that if it's not the State Championships, the level of venue prep and officiating is pretty slack . . . but this WAS the state championships. And! in the past, WA was indeed reporting HS marks just fine. If they think they suddenly because they have protocol in place, there are no shenanigans, think again.

That's a shame! It will be a good match-up for both girls. Hopefully a sub-11.

            • As has been noted elsewhere, fantastic HSR 10.89 100m for Shawnti Jackson yesterday in Nashville at Music City, winning a wind-legal race vs pros. For quite awhile this year, it appeared that Brahe-Pedersen and Hodge had taken the mantle of this year's premiere prep sprinter, but perhaps that's back in Jackson's hands now. In any case, quite amazing to have 3 talents like them in a single season.

In Portland last night, Ty Gorze took another swing at 10,000 (he ran 29:29.92 last year). It looked like he was chasing Chapa's HSR, as his early splits were pretty close to that pace. He couldn't quite hold that, but still finished with a outstanding 29:00.17. That's good for # 3 all-time, only behind the 1976 efforts of Chapa and Hulst. He passes Lindgren, Rupp and McChesney on the all-time list.

              • Shawnti Jackson might be a name we'll be hearing for awhile. I noticed she had that low arm action vaguely similar to Abby Steiner.

She'll be cashing bigger checks than her dad was cashing in his first couple of years while with Nike.

Jeez - Nike, New Balance, adidias, and Brooks!
These should be the Qualifiers to a true HS Natl Champs.

Even if you go back before Brooks and before the current situation with the others, kids would still have the NSAF's HS championships and the USATF U20s to choose between. And for many years there was also Golden West and some other post-season meets. Even if there was only one, you still have the situation where ever state has its own HS association and only annual schedule, under the umbrella of the NFHS -- and because of that, the earliest and latest state meets vary by 5-6 weeks every year. I can't imagine a situation where you'd ever have every state in sync and a national organization that would support all of that, in any sport.

Nor can I, and I don't think we should even worry about it. Being a state champion is far enough for high schoolers.

Amen! If I could only attend one track meet, it would be the California State Meet.
