It's also the fastest ever in any conditions by a U.S. U20. (U20 hurdles are virtually the same height - just over 99 cm - as American HS hurdles)

Interesting. My guess from the limited clue was the Moll sisters, a pair that has to appeal to the marketing department.

The news about Sahlman does not reference a "pro signing." It seems that (like Lex and Leo Young earlier) he is just giving up his HS eligibility in order to run against professionals in other meets. I don't think this affects his collegiate eligibility.

          • What company would give any noteworthy amount of $ to someone who isn't even THAT good yet?

Perhaps one of Monteverde's record-breaking sprinters.

              • 8th grader Aria Pearce, took 2nd and 1st respectively, in the Women's 100m and 200m at the Kansas Relays.

Lots of DNS in the sprints for some reason.

Temps in the 40s with a screaming wind will do that to a meet.

She's not a high schooler, and this wasn't a high school race.

There's no thread for middle schoolers.

They actually canceled the last few events in the meet. Not very friendly weather!

                        • Emma Sralla' (TxHS-Swe) threw 59.70 in the wDT at Ramona, Oklahoma, today. No. 2 A-T HS performer.

                          • Way down the list in the Clay Invite 1500 was Leo Young improving his PR to 3:39.39 and # 5,6 all-time HS. Also Aaron Sahlman 3:43.52.

                            • Also, Lex Young 13:44.83 (x,5 HS)

                              • And with that run, so ends the CIF career of Aaron Sahlman, and thus none of the "gang of four" from Newbury Park ever wins a state title. Maybe bigger things in the future. (Then again, since this is a high school thread, is there anything bigger than the state meet?)

It's good to see Leo running well again, after the troubles he had last season.
