Here's your context on the 7.02 CR -- that's .08 faster than she ran at ABQ in 2020.

come outdoor season nobody will remember or care what she ran in January...other than Ms. Alfred and her family...she will prove herself when it really counts.

She already did last year winning outdoors in 2022. Actually, the fact that she ran so fast but then didn't win NCAA indoors was a big deal when NCAA outdoor came around.

Good day for Alfred with a second NR in the 200m running 22.71 to take down her previous record of 22.99.
She ran 44 races before getting to World's in Eugene and sadly false starting but bounced back to take Silver at the Commonwealth Games.

She was soundly beaten in the 200m by team mate Adeleke who ran 22.52, also a NR for Ireland.

Given both have a pretty easy ride into major champs, I think we'll see both in World finals in the near future indoors and outdoors.

Isn't Albuquerque at altitude? I'm guessing a 22.52 would be more like a 22.7 at sea level & 22.71 more like 22.9 - still fantastic indoors of course!

I just saw this relay last night as it showed up on my recommended list. Pretty impressive.

Michigan's Sophie Isom falls during the first leg of the 4x400 relay but the team comes back for a convincing victory.#ncaatrackandfield #michiganwolverines ...
