Sha'Carri is laughing all the way to the bank because of stunts like these. And I would say Sha'Carri's behavior is par for the course in our society today. People are doing worse and getting away with it. Not just sports people. Gone are the days when good behavior came with financial rewards. Now its the opposite. Hardly anybody knows who won a gold medal. Now its about how many followers you have on social media. I am not saying any of this is good. I am saying this our new normal. Don't blame Shacarri when people out there are doing worse things to gain social media followers.
And Allison Felix said that in this new normal, Shaccarri is actually good for the sport.
Wow...the Dennis Rodman rationale...be the biggest asshole in the league, just rebound. How many villains have have long successful careers in T&F?

I am one of the posters who stood by this young woman, refusing to impose my middle age values on her. I'm starting to get the impression that SCR is one of those people who won't listen to good advice, because I'll bet some around her have tried to reach out. Last year watching her compete she seemed to be more about her attire(costumes) than actual performances...to me she has a presumptive air about her abilities since her 10.75 at the 2019 NCAA's. If she doesn't get her head right and begin to focus the other American lady sprinters will beat her into oblivion.

This being a T&F message board, not a Social Media Diva message board, you are not reading the room.
She has shown again and gain that she has NO IDEA what she's doing. She is a 100% knee-jerk reaction device.
She is terrible for the SPORT, but if attention is all she bergs for, yes, she's right on track (pni). .

Despite being a super-nova Hot Mess, I do want her train her obvious talent and show the world she can run with her feet, not just her mouth.

So, here's my word-play for the day, take it either way . . . You go, girl!
Agree, Usain Bolt brought much more $$$ and attention to the sport and did not have to act like this. -There really is no need for the way SC is being a fool. I wish she would just go away frankly! I don't even care if she runs.

And more importantly, with the coach.

Too much negativity and constant tragedies around her.
She needs real guidance and mentorship as jazzcyclist said.
The question is: does she really want it?

It's a train wreck that is hard to avert the eyes from . . .

I've been on my share of plane flights and never needed teammates or coaches or Miss Manners to help me out in the proper airplane comportment department - just a dose of resignation for the discomforts of modern travel and the usual common sense . . .

Yep, it never pays to piss off a cop. I've never had one let me off the hook for anything but also never taunted one into going bad-cop on me either.

Hopefully in the future 18 year olds with her kind of talent can look at college/NIL income as an alternative to becoming a full-time pro with all the challenges that go with it. It's easier to behave on a flight when you're with a dozen teammates in coach.
