Serious question: What does radio silence mean? She posts on IG pretty frequently still (like every day) and again, she was at Millrose and did multiple interviews with the media.

Making it into the non-track and field media with something...well....not productive career wise. You might also add her self appointed role of "sticking up for/representing other pros" into the negative mix. Her Instagram is a semi weekly mixed bag or vidshorts about outfits,etc (as was her Millrose Interview); It's what her followers expect and what she seems to enjoy. Her airline story was brought on by herself (otherwise I don't think it would have been news), but most of the press coverage ended with "people applauded when she finally left the plane," and the airline did not do a press follow-up. The little post instagram reaction that has made the press is a brief mention of her plans to sue the airlines. Good luck with that.


I hope her training is going well, the media distractions are minimal, and she can run some good, early spring races as she has done in the past. "Good results" usually trumps bad press in this sport, especially with sponsors. Her last good season was 2019 (now that the suspension scrubbed her Trials results).

Richardson isnt even on the board right now in early Budapest 100m odds. Current top American is Hobbs at +4100(SAFP the heavy favorite at -175)

A month of "radio silence" since her airplane vids.... i hope it's been a productive month of training. Sha'carri has run 3 of her 4 best times in April and May. Does anyone think she may be a "surprise" in the early outdoor spring races? Perhaps a sub 10.8?

Sha'Carri was at Millrose last week, along with Twanisha Terry) and they said they are just in training for now preparing for outdoors.

I think very few athletes in their group (Star Athletics under Dennis Mitchell) ran indoors at all. Javianne Oliver ran one race this year and Mouhamadou Fall has run. But names like Richardson, Terry, Bednarek, A. Brown, Kyree King, Kyra Jefferson, Kaylin Whitney etc. have all been sitting out.

Exactly. She didn't purposely get herself kicked off a flight to get views on social media. She simply reacted to the perceived disrespect in manner that was consistent with her natural behavior.

The social media discussion was around her relevance, not that her actions on the plane were part of a marketing strategy.

Nobody wants to hear or talk about her, yet here everyone is, talking about her. If we are truly exhausted by her behaviour and antics, why are we discussing her on this thread? It's because she gets a reaction out of people, and for whatever reason, we can't help ourselves posting and commenting. That's our fault, not hers.

(btw, not condoning any of her silly behaviour at all, & I agree with Atticus and others that she probably could do with some 'help' and guidance.)
