I see Vashti already cleared 1.97. Good early start for her.
Any thoughts on whether she can take a step "upward" or will she just hover around 2.00 for the year. Again.

Also, will any other US women clear 1.98 or higher?

I’m going to predict no and no. I hope to be proven wrong.

Would love to see Brigetta Barrett come back.

Though I would love to see her back again, At 32 years old and having never jumped in almost 6 full years, I doubt she would make much impact.

Cunningham is jumping in NYC this weekend. I think she can improve her PB this year, and she only turned 25 last week so has many years to go.
What about Jelena Rowe? She jumped 1.96 in 2021

I think Vashti needs a coaching change.

Where? She's not on the Sander start lists as far as I can tell.

I agree with ATK, she just turned 25 last week. When you look at absolute age records, 5 different women between the ages of 25-34 have jumped 2.08, 2.07,2.06, 2.05, 2.04, and 2.03..... One thing you can say about Vashti is at age 25 she's not burned out/always injured from over-competing.

Is Vashti still coached by her father?
