      The ban was backed dated to her 3rd missed test, so began in August.

      Unless you're referring to her only get 18 months, and not the standard 24months now....which is a good point. It conveniently allows her to compete at the US Oly Trials and potentially Tokyo. I'm guessing she cooperated...

          In general, I'm sure it depends and probably has happened. The whereabouts situations are unfortunately always so different and nuanced.

          But specifically for Saunders, she won her medal in 2021 not 2022 anyway.

            As I understand it, marks made before the 3rd whereabouts/filing failure will normally be valid as until then the athlete hasn't technically broken the rules.

                            Interesting coming from Scantling, perhaps at least she learned from Scantling that an attempt at a cover-up is worse than the "crime," hence the reduced time of suspension.
