Any preliminary entries for the Kip Keino classic this weekend? Im hearing Sha'Carri is running the 200m instead of the 100m. Maybe to separate her and Shelly-Ann?

According to Richardson, she wanted to run the 100m but 'isn't allowed'. She implies it was another party i.e. not her or her teams decision.

It's an interesting one. SAFP has often been rusty in opening races & lost, and it hasn't bothered her or her team in the past. However, I believe Richardson isn't lying either. Maybe it's the meets organisers trying to spread talent over as many events as possible? Is it better for them to have 2 big names in one event, or 2 big names over two events?

I saw two separate clips on Twitter, that someone had posted together, one where she retrospectively mentions the Botswana meet, and a different clip where she mentions the upcoming Kip Keino meet and says she is being prevented from running the 100m there too.

Apparently the meet organizers put SCR in the 200 because they wanted a higher quality across all events to give the Kip Keino meet a better chance of getting accepted into the Diamond League
