It’s a bit like Lucy and the football for me. Every year I get excited and every year I get disappointed.

Eliud Kipsang (Al-Ken) out after 1500 heats. 3:33.74 guy last year, ran 3:46.30 today.

Kipsang also ran 3:37 this season, which was NCAA number 8. Unbelievable that he'd allow the race to go through 1100 in 2:50 (especially because he was setting the pace).

Kipsang did run 3:33 in-season last year and 3:37 this year.

But he also bombed out at champs in Eugene last year, running 3:43 in his semi (when the last q for any heat for the final was 3:39).

"Kipsang fails to advance" rang a bell.

                5 under 20.20 in East 200 round 1.
Kipsang didn’t make SEC ind mile final this year either.

Just two out of 5 Bruins advance to Friday. I did not view, but Turner must have been injured, finishing in 64.52

About the only real noticeable result I see is that Ismail Kone and Jovan Martin did not advance, FS and DNS respectively.

National record for the Australian Ratcliffe (t not d!). And number 5 all-time collegiate. She's improved 9m this season.

Was bummed to see Charles McBride II from Campbell, owner of a big new PR 7-4.5 from Big South, miss advancing from the East regional HJ. Hope he can bounce back for USAs.

Devon Brooks (Tn) went down hard in the first section of the m110H, rolled off on a stretcher (looked like an arm injury). +5.8 wind is pretty swift for men's hurdlers
