I didn't realize Topic and Bruus would be joining the Diamond League circuit already. I guess it's necessary seasoning if they want to be a factor next year in Paris.

Interesting that Topic's long jump results are now not much lower on the points table than her high jump marks. She had the U18 world lead with 6.50 indoors and now the same outdoors, courtesy of 6.54 a few days ago.

I'm disappointed but not surprised that Hodgkinson is not competing in Rabat. I don't think she wants too many head to head meetings with Moraa until the stakes are higher and the pace dynamic changes with Mu in the race.

She was the only one of the Big 3 to have a full indoor season - sensible to focus more on refilling the tank just now

It's fairly rare to see top British middle-distance runners do a high profile race before the start of June.

Really? Hodjkinson, Muir and Reekie have all run atleast 1 major race (like Pre) in May over the past 5ish years.

Are some of you experts being dumb or what. Its May 22 and the season in europe has just began and lasts till mid September. European athletics is always 2 to 3 months behind. The 3 british athletes mentioned earlier will just think what fatheads people expect the european indoor elite to be competing at the same tempo as usa athletes, especially this year..

I'm interested to see what Muhammad does after her disappointing 53.41 over the flat in Bermuda.

We've seen her get into form very quickly before but is it different this time? In 2021 she had Covid so was playing catch up, and in 2022 she didn't have to do the 400mh at the NC's because she was defending World Champion.

At this stage, assuming a healthy SML & Bol, & going by the form Wilson is in, one imagines Muhammad will be out of the medals come Budapest.

I said that it's fairly rare not that it's unheard of.

Jacobs pulls out of the race due to "slight lumbosacral problem"
