If you haven't checked out the entry lists be prepared to be blown away. Very few DL meets are likely to match this this year.

I hope you're wrong vis-a-vis the Pre Classic

No kidding ... even with the news of no Mu and McLaughlin disappointing a lot of folks, there are still some REALLY good fields and a lot of OG/WC medalists and superstars. I think I'm most fired up to see the women's 100 and 100H showdowns...

Edit Atticus ... I don't see Rai in the 400H, though.

The 100h field has got to be one of, if not the, best fields we'll see all year. 7/8 women in that field have PBs under 12.4!!

I'm rooting for Amusan. She did not deserve some of the skepticism she got last year around her fast marks.

She was a sight to behold in Eugene, but some synapse in her brain finally got the right mix of neurotransmitters to allow her her fantastic drop in PR!!

Any idea who's announcing the meet? (In-stadium, I mean.). Our west coast announcing corps has been somewhat depleted recently.

Wonder what the attendance #s will be considering the buildup.

That's the way I look at it too. Everyone has that great day when everything clicks, and she was able to do it at Worlds.

going up against the State Meet prob. a good way to suck away a notable chunk of potential audience

Garry the crowd that comes up from SoCal to Clovis is surprisingly small. They get a good crowd at Buchanan, but it appears to be largely from Bakersfield and points north.

I'm going to be optimistic and say there are 6400 people at Drake Stadium. (Subsequent question will be how many Drake Dogs are sold?)

Probably a rapper from related rock concert.
