Izumiya's 13"04 (-0,2 m/s) at the Japanese national championships last week-end, is another super-elite class performance by his side, after his 13"07 in Yokohama.

If you watch the world 110m/h top-list today, you can observe a talented generation of Japanese hurdlers, with already 4 sub-13"40 performers this month.
I can imagine Izumiya will possibly become the first sub-13"00 Japanese hurdler this year.
Can anyone here say a word about their hurdle training methods/traditions?

Yeah, they need to perform outside Japan. Izumiya reached the semis of both Tokyo 2021 and Eugene 2022. In Tokyo (yep, I know it's not outside Japan!) he was close to making the final, finishing 3rd in his semi.
Rachid Muratake (he's mixed-race) is very promising. 21 years old with a 13.25 PB. However, he pulled up early this month with what seemed to be a hamstring issue and hasn't raced since.
Their women have been doing very well also, although at a lower level. Until August 2019 their national record was 13.00 but now they have 5 women sub-13 (two of them for the first time this year) and 4 of those have run sub-12.90. All 5 athletes ran sub-13 in the Yokohama race last week which is amazing in the context of Japanese women's hurdling! The NR now is Mako Fukube's 12.73.
It looks like they'll have a full Women's high hurdles team in Budapest.
Clearly they're doing something right but I have no idea regarding their training.
