I wondered about Manzano after the NCAA indoor but he had a great split today. Would be nice to see my homeboy Bobby Curtis realize the potential he seemed to have as a sophomore in high school, but 4:05 is not doing it.

Which year had the most sub-4 Penn anchors? There were at least six this year.

The Longhorn DM win got me thinking how they've got a pretty wide array of good teams now. NCAA pigskin champs, usually pretty good in baseball, aren't they? And now they're probably thinking they're a basketball school of all things. So I checked the Sears Cup site and they were second last year (behind Stanford, which about owns the thing) and as of the end of the winter sports season, were again second behind Stanford. This includes both men's and women's teams. Just guessing but it would seem like they might win the thing this year with a women's track team defending its title and maybe some points from men's track. Their baseball team is ranked 9th (Stanford not in the top 30), don't know anything about pesky little teams like in golf and tennis (probably pretty good, lot's of country clubs in Texas.) Sorry to stray a bit from T&F here.

Hey, I think Carolina won it once upon a time and, while a solid school financially, the creeks aren't running gold there.
