Just got back. DMR is truly one of the best events I ever seen at Penn. And I've seen a few.

A USA win, I thought, was contingent on a dominant 400 leg. It WASN'T DOMINANT. Kenya A's 400 leg (there were 2 Kenyan teams) ran very well, and was only about 5 meters behind USA, if that!

They were about even after the 800, and then the real race began. Lagat put on this crazy move at the home curve. Anyone who's been at Penn knows that making a move on the curve is a BIG MISTAKE!!!!! Result: Lagat was outkicked on the homestretch!!!!

NOTE: I disagreed w/having the DMR. But w/two Kenyas v. Lagat, the folks at Penn have once again showed their ability to step up their game!!!!!! USA v. World DMR is here to stay!!!!. Don't be surprised if we see Ethiopia, Morocco at next year's DMR!!!!!

Thanks for the report. What would Ethiopia do for the 400m leg?

They'll just have the Kenster run all four legs. Saves 'em three plane tickets to boot.
