  • WHAT THE HELL DID FASUBA RUN FOR THAT 60 ???

Leave aside 9.76, fasuba looked to have a meter on him at 60m !!!

even with the wind, that can't have been much slower than 6.30!!!

    that's 9.60 pace !!!!

          apparently safa says he'll now run a 9.60 !?!?!

well, sorry safa & gatlin, neither of you will ever run 9.60, but i've seen a guy who has the potential !

this guy fasuba has the most potential i've ever seen in a young sprinter - he actually "spoiled" the race for me

normally, with a wr, you expect the "man" to have a majestic charge, virtually leading the whole way & lookin totally dominant

this wasn't the case here - fasuba left gatlin for for "dead" upto mid-way, & gatlin didn't look any wr breaker when he finished

          i think i've potentially seen history's greatest 100m runner - & it aint gatlin or safa !

I wonder if he's the fastest 21 year old. And if not at his peak the amount of room for improvement there is. An interesting one Eldrick!

that equals surin's & mo's fastest splits ever i believe

6.35 split is ~ 9.70 pace if you can hold on as well as possible in the last 40m

                ( double your 60 split - 3.00 )

if fasuba can build strength for last 40m, then under similar circumstances, he can go close to 9.70

( he had an even bigger lead at 50m & by 60m, gatlin was catching him - i'd luv to know his 50m split ( & try & figure out some sort of relationship with the 100 !? ) )

2 interesing points about fasuba :

                  - according to iaaf he is a runt at 5'5 !!!

                  http://www.iaaf.org/athletes/athlete=19 ... PopUp.html

who was saying you have to be a certain height to run fast ?

                  - also someone menioned that he is coached by our very own pierre-jean !

if that's the case, well, pj, you have done a wonderful job !!!

Those splits are probably straight from the horses mouth...

Eldrick, could that, however, help to explain an incredible start but become a liability of sorts over the long haul. In other words, could he explode out of the blocks to run an amazing 60 (and of course put himself in position for a 9.8) but not have the right structure to run this supposed 9.6?

Seems to fit the type of build.

At 5'5"? What are the sizes of Carl, Burrell, Greene, Gatlin, and Powell? I'm honestly asking. I thought they were taller by at least a few inches and had longer strides that ate up the track.
