  • Conference championships on TV

CSTV and the Fox College Sports channels are showing several of the major conference championships over the next couple of weeks, and repeating each several times. The first showing of the Big East was early this morning (or late last night for T&FN staff); Pac-10 is showing on FCS as I type this Thursday morning, Big 12 starts Friday (FCS), Big 10 Monday (CSTV), and SEC next Thursday (FCS).

I did leave out some additional times and dates.
I have not seen the SEC listed yet.

you can goto http://www.dishnetwork.com and search the listing for Track and Field up to 7 days out. I'm sure other services offer the samething.

Maybe someone will make one of these a temporary sticky.

I made my hotel reservations for a week from Friday in Austin last night. Hope to see you there.

Yeah, I told USATF they should put these in their TV Alert section, but they said the only do "national broadcasts." Seems to me that as ubiquitous as these channels have become on cable systems around the nation, they should count as national. And actually, as starved as we track fans are for televised events, it seems to me like they should promote everything on TV, even regional stuff that they learn of.

I don't jump on the slam USATF bandwagon often, but that response strikes me as both lazy and stupid. These broadcasts are on numerous fox channels, enough that you could almost argue they ARE national.
