It's kind of scary to google on "Galen Rupp" and "dead" and see how many citations come up just relative to stories about races. But nothing about this terrible thing, no.

Note that the Oregonian forum has pulled the message from their board and there are no new threads on it. So most likely it is a rumor and nothing more.
