Roth bounces back and shows the consistency he has demonstrated the past two seasons. Can he hold this form through Beijing?

  • #2
Roth took 3 really close attempts at 5.36. He definitely has the height.

Phil Hanson looked great. He jumped 17' indoors and struggled outdoors. I think he had a lot of meets with bad weather. He was on fire today, and took really great shots at 5.20.

Mike Morrison's clearance lookd good, but he was all over the place the rest of the time.

Jordan Scott and Spencer McCorkel just had kind of off days and didn't really put it together. Jordan sounded like he had a lot of little aches and pains bothering him. It just never quite came together for Spencer.

      Becca,

Did they run the PV into the wind? They had the mens LJ into the wind for whatever reason.

The pole vault is perpendicular to the straightaways and the long/triple jump. The wind at the PV pit was swirling some for the JR Boys, but I don't think it was too bad.
