Thanx. Not a baby, but not even old. Her future looks bright.

Jammin, any insight into how bad Veronica Campbell's injury was/is? The report I saw was pretty damn grim.

She could return for Zurich (August 18); Brussels (August 25) and Berlin (September 3), along with the final three Grand Prix meetings.

VC is probably best off mailing in the rest of the season. Osaka and Beijing beckon. She'll have more than Sherone to worry about then. Schillonie Calvert, Kerron Stewart and Simone Facey will in all likelihood be sub 11 and Facey probably sub 10.9 by then. WR possibility in 4x100 by Beijing?

I'm really excited by Simpson, lets all label her the new Ottey now, and write about her possible quick times....of course, only to be utterly let down in the very near future when the womens 200m yet again provides with a lithany of 22'5's yet again!

Tainted though it likely is, that may be the toughest record on the books. the GDR women caught lightning in a bottle at Canberra. Ditto for Koch's 400.

                    Canberra of the circular winds
Four sub 11 with decent baton changes should do it
in 08 i am hopeful of three sub 10.9 on the team
                    1. Simpson
                    2. VC
                    3. Simone Facey (if she can stay healthy)
Kerron Stewart should be sub 11
Schillonie Calvert should be either side of 11.00
If all healthy should be able to challenge 41.37
Remember US have done 41.47 twice.
