McConnell also ran in the 200m in Cuxhaven as well as the 400mh, running 23.40.

Good to see Burgess make a big height outside Australia... about due to get on the startlists of some big meets - Rome??

I think Burgess was alone in the meet...as a senior. He jumped at the Mannheim DLV junior gala and the competitors was juniors from all over europe.

I was there cometing and managed to miss out on Burgess fantastic vaulting...probably due to poor german knowledge...just tought the speaker went on about the junior filed which was won in 5,45 by the 18 year old German talent Marvin Rietze.

Many other good res. was acheived during the competitions:
110mh 13,49 by Samuel Cocoviloin, FRA, into -1,1 (1m hurdles)

1,47,29 on the two lap by Robin Schembera GER(88).high standard field with 6 runners sub1,50

46,67 Grant Baker GBR(88) in the one lap.

Double by Harry Aikeines Areetey(88) GBR 10,39/21.06.

13,48 by German Anna Karin Elbe in the hurldes.
