We've contested only two of the six Golden League meets and still have the WAF and World Cup. The season's barely begun!

No, no, no! It's not over NOW - it's over when the WAF/WCup are contested! Which is why there's no reason to skip them.

No, no, no! It's not over NOW - it's over when the WAF/WCup are contested! Which is why there's no reason to skip them.

At the moment they're tied! Both have the WR, both are undefeated. So who's raced against the best opposition? Both have!

If JG doesn't run again, AP will be #1. My guess is that one of them will not finish the season healthy. In the past it's been AP. The season is still young! My money is on JG.

I think he's well on his way to #1 ranking if he keeps going at this rate. Gatlin has to race more than he is now to secure a #1 ranking, surely? With his current injury status I'm not sure he can run enough to edge Powell without a win in a head to head or another 9.77 and better.

At this point it looks like JG is on the shelf. If he stays there, AP gets the nod, easy.

If they both don't meet this year, Asafa will be ranked #1 because Asafa would have run in the biggest meets of the year with greater competition, ie, the Golden League and the WAF.
