Nesterenko had a bad back injury but is on the mend. Relay duty for Belarus at EC i think, do a search, it was mentioned recently

Interesting! Wonder if she will be added to the Belarussian squad in the individual? If so, I doubt she can run below 11.2 as she has only 2 wks to go...but then again, the standard is poor this year.
The Belarussian 4x100 looks set for a battle for a minor medal.

Margus Hunt is playing football (US) at Southern Methodist University, and still training for the throws with Dave Wollman. He may end up making a boatload of cash in the NFL with his freakish athletic ability.

Dominique Arnold is still running at 37 years old, clocked 13.70 a few days back

Kym Howe had a baby in late 2008, and my feel is she may have retired...

                            Badurova has retired.

I was thinking recently about what happened to Danijela Grgic, who won the World Junior 400m title in 2006. I've heard she's been injured for the past three years and was diagnosed with the dreaded mono this year, but she's still active in the sport and training three times a week.

Other than Nesterenko, what's happened to Alesia Turava? Fallen off the face of the planet. :?

The Norwegians have produced some good long-distance athletes in the past decade but none of them seem to have any real longevity. Stine Larsen (2:26 marathon), Marius Bakken (two-time world 5000m finalist) and Kristine Engeset (very talented steeplechaser) seem to have disappeared too.
