Why isn't Allyson Felix running a 200/400 combo? Allyson is unlikely to ever present a threat in the 100m but could potentially be a factor at 400. Her stride reminds me alot of Marie Jose Perec....Not super fast turnover but covers tremendous ground with each step.

At the very least, she should be running more 400s to prep for the 200.

I suspect she could be a sub 50 400 runner.

I imagine that will be the eventual case but at the moment she is still very young and perhaps still exploring said events...

Remember, Perec herself started as a "pure" sprinter...

Felix showed potential earlier in the season with a 11.04 in the 100m which is no joke for someone who just started to run the 100m.

She was planning on concentrating primarily on the 100m this season until her sickness/injury
