    There was a small blurb on the front page of the SF Chron pointing to a small story (all original reporting from the BALCO reporters) on the front page of the sports. Nothing on the front page of the Oakland Trib, a small wire story on the front page of the sports.

    Definitely not getting the major treatment. I don't think this is going to make a bit of difference to the general sports fan.

    The ranking of track in the US

    On ESPN.com this morning the Landis "issue" was still the main story. The Gatlin "issue" was just a secondary story. This afternoon there is no mention of Gatlin on the main page just one day after a huge story. It seems unlikely to hurt the sport if no one notices.

    Almost three full weeks (I think) until Asafa, Gay, X-man and Wariner run again to break me out of depression.
