  • X-man [done for year]

More importantly, where is the X-man?! Will he not be in Stuttgart?

He did not run at USATF, so I presume he is not eligible.

That has nothing to do with it.

My bad. Confusing WAF and WC for no good reason.

In other words, he can't be at Athens (Cup) cuz he didn't run USATF; he's not at WAF (Stuttgart) cuz.... err.... uh..... ?

Cuz, in the words of his management: "He decided before Zurich and Brussels he would close the season in Brussels as he was very tired after about 60 races on the year and he wanted to get back to school."

              NO FREAKIN' WAY!!!

I am now an even BIGGER X-Fan (if that were possible).

hmmmm - X-Fan . . . did I just coin that? I need to copyright that. I think the X-Fan Club is gonna be humongous in two year's time, and I'll cash in on all the royalties of the merchandising. Louise, wanna get in on this?

google gives 1,030,000 hits for x-fan... looks like it might be big relative to the x-men.

WOW! 60 races at the level & success he was running in is just amazing. To play football (no base) & then dominate (& I do mean DOMINATE) college Indoor & Outdoor season's & then do what he did in his 1st taste of Europe in just unheard of. Most pro sprinters have about 15 races under their belts. The kid has never focused on 1 sport in his life. The X-Man will be a force next year & will go down as one of the all-time greats when he's done.

Congratulations to Carter for a memorable season, both in college and the pros. For the first time since Johnson went a 19.32, did I ever think a runner had a snowball's chance of breaking the men's 200m WR. I look forward seeing to seeing him run next year, and which individual events and relays he enters.

Given Gay's very consistent efforts in the deuce this season, I'd say we have two folks capable of given the previously unimaginable 19.32 a shake in the nearish future...
