I think Veronica go injured in July. She will have plenty of time to come back next year probably starting in the indoor season. She is a regular at Millrose and I wouldn't be surprised if she runs there.

Wally is not a slow bend runner. He is just a slow 100m runner. Instead of running 400m as he has been, he should be running 100m as Gay has.

That's my point. 10.18 is "slow" compared to today's standard bearers.

Weak field or not. 10.89 is the third fastest time of the year.

In fact, Sherone has the 1st, 2nd and 3rd fastest times this year.

Goes back to what I said yesterday, a 10.89 runner should not be in 6th place at 100m in a 200m race.

not if you have moderate bend-runing talent

She ran a poor curve yesterday and she and her coach needs to work on that

easier said than done - ask wally

BTW I totally agree with you on the curve running. Next year I am sure franno will have her running the curve a bit harder. However I don't think he wanted her to run it as slowly as she did yesterday. She hasn't run that many 200s in her professional track career. I suspect he said take it easy on the curve and she overdid it
