Qualifying standards

I was just looking at the oly qualifying standards for next year at http://www.usatf.org/events/2004/Olympi ... ards.shtml. I noticed they're all noticeably more lenient than the world champ standards. Is this normal, or did the olympic committees ease the standards for this year?

Hello, these are the Olympic TRIALS qualifying standards, not the Olympic GAMES qualifiers.
