  • THG Crisis Forum

The following was origininally posted on a separate thread by Garry-

You may have noticed by now that there is indeed a third forum. This does not mean that we have decided there should be a separate drug forum. But since so many people have decided to create their own threads on exacty the same subject--the current THG crisis--we have decided that that should get its own (temporary?) slot so that people can get into talk about some of the happier things in the sport without having to wade through a second screen.

Meanwhile, we'll try to keep you as advised as possible on the front page of all the latest developments.

Regina Jacobs testing positive....It is not like there were not suspicions, but even still very shocking and sad for our sport.

I don't know whether it is a really, really great sign or a really, really sad sign that this issue is so big it requires its own forum.

        Maybe its both.

Agreed. In the long run, however, this is surgery and the tumor has to go. The patient will survive, in what form time will tell. But there is no more natural sport than running, jumping and throwing and it will continue to be very popular.

Will it? I keep thinking of that old line where the doctor tells the family members, "The operation was a complete success, but oh yes, sorry for your loss."

You think foot races are going to stop being popular for the first time in how many thousand years?

She has not tested positive because the "B" samples have not been tested. Check your rules on proper procedures for test results. Remember Lagat???

That is why USATF and IAAF have not announced any names and they will not until they are confirmed by "B" test.

This whole thing is just sensational journalism, and a load of XXXX, until it is official.

The feds are moving quickly to make THG illegal (under the law).
